So whatta ya know, wants to play again….. He reports to the Packers and gets an all but favorable welcome. I’ll be the first to say that I’ve intentionally not followed this story very closely. Mainly because talk at this point beats me down just as much as Obama vs. McCain talk does. But because this is a SPORTS blog and not a politico blog, we’ll fight through the beat down and throw out some HSO’s (Hot Sports Opinions for those of you non-P1’s). But regardless, I hope this is the last post. I really hope.

A few weeks ago we posted a thought on Brett urging him to stay retired, but this story keeps getting uglier and uglier. It seems like Favre is now taking every opportunity to throw his “former” team under the bus. In his most recent comments Favre accuses the Packers of “planting” stories and fabricating just exactly how the whole “retirement” went down.

My thoughts? Brett, shut up. I’m getting tired of your game. You were a player that everybody loved, I mean everybody. You went out on top, somewhat. You took an over-achieving team to the NFC Championship. The bad taste of the previous years were done away with. And what happened next? You decide you want to play again after you had “retired”. The team that you played for made plans to move forward without you and then June rolls around and you expect them to drop what they’re doing to accommodate you. Kudos to the Packers for moving on. You might be a better team with Favre this season, but at the expense of the future. And don’t forget, losing to the Cowboys in the NFC Championship is not worth losing your future quarterback. Go Cowboys!

And one more thing, Patrick Crayton, if you’re reading this, SHUT UP!

a-freaking-greed when it comes to crayton. that guy has the biggest mouth with the worst hands when it comes down to crunch time. that guy is the thorn in my flesh. i’m all for the success of the cowboys, i really am…but when it comes to crayton…lets just say that i wouldn’t mind a crossing route that got ugly.

this just in…favre is no unimportant. he can’t bring the jets passed the pats, colts, chargers, or jags. the packers seem to have gotten the best of this battle(packer v. favre).

To me Crayton is like the old man with an electolarynx. You want to like him, but when he starts talking you end up with a big question mark above your head.
