I stand corrected.  Dan, along with most everyone else, refuses to acknowledge that the championships won by our  were in the years previously posted.  I have listened to and understand the argument which is why from here on out, to protect the integrity of our simulation, we have the following teams participating:

Now, on to week two.

In our first game featuring teams from different decades, the 1992 scored first and then protected their lead, winning 13-7 over the 1977 .     Ball control and a relentless pass rushed proved to be the difference in this slug fest.  Being four points down and just seconds left in the game ‘77 Roger Staubach called for a “Hailmary.”  Too bad ‘92 Issac Holt was there for the interception, sealing the win for the 1992 .

While ‘95 Aikman and ‘95 Irvin both had outstanding games, ‘93 Emmitt Smith continued his domination of this league.  Contributing 166 all-purpose yards ‘93 Smith earns his second straight MVP award.  It took a 6 yard touchdown run by ‘93 Smith in the final two minutes to get by the well rested 1995 .

If you think the pass rush made the difference, I believe the wrong side won. The ‘77 team had a d-line of Harvey Martin (23 sacks that season - before it was kept as an official statistic, I believe) HOF Randy White, Ed “too Tall Jones and I think Larry “bubba” Cole, with Jethro pugh alternating.

THAT, my friends was a front four!
