What a game. Incredible. Here are my Championship Quick-hits:

Ray Allen takes it to the hoop.

  • How amazing is Ray Allen? Not only is the guy the perfect team mate, but he is a true baller. The guy played every minute and still had the strength to ice the game off the dribble. AND he isn’t that bad of an actor either.
  • In comparison, did anyone else see Sasha Vujacic whine like a little girl on the bench when someone reached in to encourage him? Makes me want to spit.
  • That Ray Allen guy is good.
  • How does Kobe not make a bucket in the first half? Is that possible? Without doing any research, I’m fairly confident MJ never did that in a playoff game…let alone a championship game.
  • Has Ray Allen ever made any off-the-court headlines? He is awesome.
  • Paul Pierce was asked how “the great gap” was closed when he gazed towards the heavens, paused, pointed upward, and said, “Right there baby.” Now, I don’t want to be a skeptic, but I’m not really sure that that was the case. Unless “that” was right there.
  • Also, just so we are clear, when Ray Allen tied Sasha’s shoes for him, Sasha was standing at the tip off circle just below the foul line when the bucket was made.

This has nothing to do with the game so it doesn’t get it’s own bullet…but the whole 2-3-2 things is pretty ridiculous.
